Shane is from Regina, Saskatchewan. He moved away to British Columbia when he was in his teens and started writing and put the band "Empty Hollow" together. They played shows and had a good following. Unfortunately due to a drummer issue they officially broke up. Shane moved back to his hometown of Regina. He has just released his second album as of August 2019
